Welcome everyone to Wizzos Thoughts on Haunts. I'm Wizzo, your imaginary friend, and these are strictly my thoughts and experiences. This is not a review and there is absolutely no ranking system.

"Where are we going this time?" Wizzo asked excitedly.

My next haunt on the list was Terror in the Corn located in Erie Colorado. The haunt is located on the property of Anderson Farms. Once again,I found myself starting my journey with the haunt's website. It was pretty easy to navigate and was full of information about the haunt and the farm. One really cool piece was the season calendar. They added little indicators on how busy the crowd "should" be for that particular day. Ticket prices are a bit high but it is because you not only get a ticket to the haunt, but access to the Fall Festival stuff the farm puts together.

Upon arrival, parking was super easy to find. They have a large lot just out front of the farm. I had preordered tickets so a simple scan at the window was all that was needed. As you enter you immediately see the world's largest man made pumpkin atop an old silo. There was a small pumpkin patch, a general store, playground, and of course food trucks right up front. They have some fire pits to sit and relax if you'd like. There is also a regular corn maze to go adventure in if it so pleases you. If sitting and getting lost in corn isn't your thing, then what about an escape room or maybe some zombie paintball? I didn't get to try these this time but I hear it's pretty neat.

"Why didn't you let me shoot zombies?"

After walking around and enjoying the surroundings I headed towards Terror in the Corns spot on the farm. I entered my time slot line and waited to get in. My group got called over to get the haunt rules and was sent to the cue line. As two skeleton DJs were playing groovy tunes, a few of the monsters lurked around.

"The Mayor was drunk!"

I got to the end of the cue line and was put into one more smaller line where they separate the groups just before entering.

I walked up a small path into a barn only to be immediately greeted by a witch. She was telling me about all the creatures that were waiting for me in the corn that she had created. I left the barn and was on the corn path.

"A MILE LONG PATH!" Shouted Wizzo.

As I made my way through the twists and turns, creepy things came at my feet from almost every turn. Witches tried to lure me into the corn for dinner. Creepy broken dolls violently shook as I passed by their doll houses. There was even few scarecrows named Ted wanted to become friends with me. One poor guy was even stuck on his broken combine.

"THERE WAS FIRE!"

Just up ahead I noticed an abandoned town. There was a couple arguing as I went into the hotel. A few creepy crawlies tried to pull me under a wagon. Room after room, the undead inhabitants tried to sell me things and keep me there.

"The barkeeper thought Nibbles squirrel onesie was a real animal." Giggled Wizzo.

I rounded a corner and was just outside of the tavern. Two ladies tried to lure my group inside with their sweet words. As I made my way through some more of the town, I ended up finding the fortune tellers trailers. I made it out of the camp alive. Just by a little bit though.

"Some crazy inhabitant with curlers tried to cut off my feet!" Shouted Wizzo.

I exited the haunt and made my way towards the gift shop area. It was a standard gift shop offering shirts, hats, pins, and even comic books.

"Now that's different!"

Overall I really enjoyed my experience. There was plenty to look at and what you were looking at really put you into the scenes. If a nice spooky day out with the family is what you're looking for then Anderson Farms and Terror in the Corn is your spot.
