NIGHTFALL AT
OLD TUCSON

SYDONEY BANKS

Dabney and the clowns have taken over Nightfall, and they are not clowning around. This year, “fear” is fun and chaotic and has overcome every corner of Nightfall. During the Opening “Scare-A-Mony”, you hear the story for this year and how Dabney, the Evil Clow,n is now the new ruler of Nightfall, and during “The Trial,” a guillotine is used to cut off the head of Jebediah Hyde. While you wait for the Opening “Scare-A-Mony,” you can hang out with the Nightfall Gargoyles that reside on top of the main building and hear their jokes and their interactions with the public. Very interactive for all.
We were able to see five of the six Nightfall shows: the two previously mentioned above, and “The Judgment Game Musical” show, which was very entertaining as the actors had great singing voices, as well as dancing skills, various effects, music, jokes, and even audience participation was included during the fun for all. Nightfall Magic was a funny, quick-witted show with an entertaining card magician as he used jokes and card tricks, and he even selected an audience member to join him on stage to participate during the show. It was quite entertaining for all. Bravo!
Dabney's Carn-Evil-Carnage
Our fifth show was hilariously funny as one watches Dabney himself run the multi-action-packed, crazy clown show with tons of puns, jokes, innuendos, with wildly great special effects for visitors of all ages.
The only show we missed was Booville Bash, which goes from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm inside the Grand Palace Theater, with the Bash Host spinning tunes, holding contests, and dancing til sundown!
Now for the Scare Zones
Carnival Row
Fun with killer crazy clowns, chainsaws, and other various monsters as they are waiting and hiding in the fog, just ready to get you when you least expect it. They did a great job, and it was so fun to watch them chase the many unexpected victims, I mean … customers.
Witch of the West
The first time we went through, I found it to be lacking in actor energy, but the second time we went through it all of the 2nd time was 1,000 times greater.
The greatest movement of one of the witches was as she was quiet, she was extremely creepy. Another witch came out of her scene and had a great dialogue to deliver as she stayed in character. The other witches also did a spookily wonderful job, as well!

Cult of Crows
They only had one scarecrow in this zone. They did a great job and I loved them so much. I wish they had more scarecrows, but that one did a fabulous job. There was another one outside the zone at the front of the entrance, and this one also did a great job.
Haunts
Dabney’s Hell House was really, really good! It had many great sets and awesome effects. The actors and actresses did a phenomenal job. They were really good at their jump scares, and they also had the creep factor going, for sure. This is a wildly fun haunt with some wildly cool animatronics, along with lots of eye candy throughout.
This was my favorite haunt for this year! The clowns did such an outstanding, great job!  Way to go!

The Asylum
This was a real treat with the actors and actresses doing a terrific job while staying in character and going all in for their creepy scares. I loved the sets, the effects, and all the animatronics. I love the commitment this year that all of the characters have in all the attractions here.

Inferno
This was so very cool because they have added to the beginning of the mine shaft, so that it was actually even longer than before. I have always loved the mine shaft because it already has a great setting. I love all the effects, along with the animatronics and all the details there are to look at and enjoy. The actors and actresses did a great job. They really played with the customers, and they would even follow you around. Great job to all!

The staff of Old Tucson is very friendly and helpful, and I really appreciate them. Customer service skills are on point, and they really do care about your experience while you are their guest.
The food was delicious! We ate at Big Jake’s BBQ and got the Frys with Pulled Pork and Cheese, and there was even Hatch Green Chile on it.  It was very good, and you get a good, large portion. We could not even finish it, and so we took it home with us. They have 10 food and or beverage places to choose from. Something for everyone.

Sadly, we did not get to see the light show since it is not yet open, but I bet it will be Spooktacular!

They have many more rides, games, activities, shows, shopping, and so much more.

We had the RIP pass, and I will tell you it is well worth it, for great seats for shows, cutting the line on the attractions and rides, you also get discounts, and a bag with a Nightfall cup, so you can get a beverage, and it is well worth it. If you do not have it, you can upgrade once inside.

Make sure you make it out to Old Tucson NIGHTFALL this year!  They are waiting for you! They have an amazing great talented team of individuals who really do care and want to put on an amazing show for everyone! Great Job Once Again, Nightfall At Old Tucson!
(Note: They also have a Christmas Show.)
