APOCALYPSE RAWHIDE

Once a flourishing western town by the name of Rawhide is now an infested rundown home for the undead waiting to  feast on any living thing that dares to enter into the forsaken  town.  As you enter Rawhide you are greeted with a friendly face that tells you the rules of the town and gives you your gun and explains how the gun works. Then off you go into Rawhide or now we call it Apocalypse Rawhide. Walking through this western town you have no idea where the dead lurk and hide, so you must be on your toes and watch your back because they are actually everywhere. The zombies this year are extremely outstanding and do a great job. They have more undead this year and even some static prop zombies. So you will have no real clue as to what is really real and what is not. The lighting, sounds and eerie music really helps set the tone and gives you chills that run down your spine. Last year was their first year, so I see they are stepping it up and have learned and grown from last year.  Having more zombies does make a big difference and the static prop zombies help a lot. They make great distractions for the real ones. I think with a little more acting and training it would even make it much better. The opening weekend went well overall. 

 

Great zombies so far and this is a must see this year. Getting to shoot at the zombies and them reacting to it makes this more interactive then your average Haunted Attraction. The guns look and feel real and you really get caught up in the moment, if they do actually feel real

 

The only other thing I could add is if there was an actual story line and some icon characters that would add a lot to Apocalypse Rawhide. I hope they can add this in the future along with more special effects, fog, and more sets or props for the zombies to hide in or to be able to use. 

 

They also have a store this year with many Apocalypse Rawhide merchandise items and with Glowing Pumpkins as well and also just cool horror and Halloween items for everyone. Glowing Pumpkins is in the same location again this year and I am hoping to get to go through Glowing Pumpkins again this year to review it since I have heard it is also different from last year.

 

Apocalypse Rawhide also has a bar, food vendors, a fortune teller, and much more. You also don't have to wait in line, just like Slaughterhouse in Tucson, they use a text based  message statement that will let you know when it is your turn to enter the event so you have time to walk around and enjoy yourself, why you are waiting for your 3 text messages letting you know when it is your turn to go. Since they have only been open for 2 nights the system is still learning and was giving wait time over 3 hours, but that was inaccurate due to the system learning being brand new here. 

 

So this year do not miss Apocalypse Rawhide and to all the actors and actresses along with all the staff you are doing a great job so keep up the great work.  Happy Halloween!
